Another easy win with the Triabit.

Triabit news for May, 2014

Sir Moments wins G2 Queensland Guineas

Sir Moments today won the Group 2 Queensland Guineas wearing the Triabit. Trainer Steve O'Dea had earmarked the $350,000 race a year ago for Sir Moments and was justifiably thrilled to see his long-term plan for the horse come to fruition.

In a blanket finish, Sir Moments (16/1) managed to lunge at just the right time to edge out three rivals right on the post, one of whom was 80/1 chance Olympic Anthem (who was also wearing the Triabit). The owners of Sir Moments will now discuss whether to pay the $46,200 late entry for the gelding to back up in next Saturday’s Stradbroke.
Gotta Take Care wins Australian Hurdle

Gotta Take Care came from a seemingly impossible position to win the Australian Hurdle at Sandown on Saturday, wearing the Triabit. The veteran hurdler started at 5/4 favourite and looked no chance to win the $100,000 race with just two hurdles to jump but outstayed his rivals to win the 3,400 metre race.

Beautifully ridden by John Allen, Gotta Take Care was able to run down his rivals with true staying power. This win takes Gotta Take Care's career earnings to nearly one million dollars and he is on track for a $300,000 bonus if he can take out the Grand National Hurdle on July 13.
Kushadasi wins G1 South Australian Derby

Kushadasi today won the Group 1 South Australian Derby, wearing the Triabit, to produce a hometown result for the Adelaide-based horse. Sent out at 8/1, Kushadasi gave trainer Richard Jolly his first Group 1 winner, by a narrow margin over his rivals.

Jockey Steven Arnold steered Kushadasi down the middle of the track to win the $500,000 race, just edging out the Mick Kent-trained Scratchy Bottom. Best Case, trained by Anthony Cummings, was third.
