Another easy win with the Triabit.

Triabit news for November, 2013

Luckygray wins G1 Railways Stakes

Luckygray today won his second Group 1 Railway Stakes at Ascot, wearing the Triabit. Ridden by Shaun O'Donnell, Luckgray completed back-to-back wins in the $1M race, after also winning the 2012 Railway Stakes.

O'Donnell commented after the race that Luckgray relaxed beautifully during the run and out-gunned all other runners to salute at 20/1, setting a weight-carrying record for the race. New trainer Trevor Andrews was clever enough to retain the Triabit on Luckygray, after having just taken him into his stable only six weeks ago. Luckygray will now be set for the G1 Kingston Town Classic in two weeks' time.
Fiorente wins $6M G1 Melbourne Cup

In the "race that stops a nation", Gai Waterhouse celebrated a training triumph today, as Fiorente won the Group 1 $6M Melbourne Cup, wearing the Triabit. After a narrow defeat in the Cox Plate last week (where he did not wear the Triabit), it was a fitting result for the race favourite, who saluted at 6/1.

In his first start in the Triabit, Fiorente ran second in last year's Melbourne Cup but this year he went one better. Beautifully ridden by Damien Oliver, Fiorente was too strong for the galant Red Cadeaux and Mount Athos. Watched by a crowd of more than 100,000 on course, Fiorente didn't give up when headed within sight of the post, delivering yet another fantastic Group 1 win for the Triabit.
