Triabit news for November, 2012

Happy Trails lands Triabit G1 Emirates win

Happy Trails (12/1), wearing the Triabit, today won the $1 million Emirates Stakes at Flemington, continuing an incredible run of success for horses racing in the Triabit.

Trained by Paul Beshara, and beautifully ridden by Damien Oliver, Happy Trails finished off the mile with a hard-charging last furlong, to beat the more fancied favourite, Fawkner, in a head bobbing finish.
Dear Demi wins G1 Oaks in Triabit

Dear Demi, wearing the Triabit, today won the $1M G1 Oaks at Flemington. Trained by Clarry Conners, and beautifully ridden by Jimmy Cassidy, Dear Demi was too strong for her rivals.

Dear Demi continued the incredible list of results for the Triabit, making it three G1 winners this week (and it was nearly four when Fiorente ran second in the Melbourne Cup two days ago).
Fiveandahalfstar G1 VRC Derby win in Triabit domination

Fiveandahalfstar today won the prestigious G1 A$1.5 million VRC Derby in emphatic fashion, with Super Cool completing a 1-2 for the only two horses in the race wearing the Triabit!

In a stunning result, Fiveandahalfstar (40/1) and Super Cool (5/1), dominated the race to complete the second Triabit G1 quinella in as many weeks.

Trained by Anthony Cummings and beautifully ridden by Damien Oliver, Fiveandahalfstar relaxed beautifully out in front and gave his more-fancied rivals a staying lesson. Other more fancied rivals did not settle as well in running and failed to impress.

The Cummings family had a brilliant day at Flemington on what is widely regarded as the best day of racing in Australia. Bart Cummings, the legend of Australian racing, won the G3 Carbine Club Stakes earlier in the day with Lunar Rise (7/1), and Anthony Cummings added to his Derby win by taking out the G2 Yellowglen Stakes with Fontelina (12/1) later on in the day. And all three winners saluted in the Triabit!
Flotilla wins G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf

Flotilla (starting at odds of 11/1) today won the US$1 million G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, wearing the Triabit, in a wonderful come-from-behind win.

Flotilla was having her first start in the USA after making the trip over from France. She travelled beautifully throughout the race and came from behind to win decisively for trainer Mikel Delzangles and jockey Christophe Lemaire.
