Titletown Five wins in Triabit by 9 lengths

Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas notched up yet another win in the Triabit when Titletown Five won today at Churchill Downs by a convincing nine length margin.

Given the dominance of Titletown Five's win, he is looking like a definite contender for the Kentucky Derby next May.
Commanding Jewel wins G1 1,000 Guineas in Triabit 1-2

Commanding Jewel, trained by Leon Corstens, today won the G1 Thousand Guineas at Caulfield, wearing the Triabit, making it two G1 Triabit wins in five days at Caulfield.

Dear Demi ran second in the Triabit to make it a G1 quinella.

Commanding Jewel, the three-quarter sister to champion filly Atlantic Jewel (who won the race last year) was ridden brilliantly by Damien Oliver and unleased a burst of speed at the top of the straight to take the lead and win by nearly three lengths.

Triabit features in 7 win haul for Richard Hughes

Richard Hughes became only the second jockey to ride 7 winners on a single race card in British racing history today. And two of those winners came on horses wearing the Triabit!

The first of Hughes's Triabit winners was Magic Secret (trained by Jeremy Gask) won very impressively, streeting the field by 6 lengths. His seventh win came on Mama Quilla (trained by William Haggas).

Solzhenitsyn wins G1 Toorak Handicap

Solzhenitsyn today stormed home to win the Group 1 Toorak Handicap, beating the heavily backed More Joyous (who started 5/4 favourite) in a brilliant come-from-behind win.

Solzhenitsyn was the only runner in the race wearing the Triabit and he travelled beautifully throughout the race before coming home to claim the prestigious race for Queensland trainer Robert Heathcote.
