Triabit news for April, 2012

Quiet Oasis wins G3 Wilshire Handicap

Wearing the Triabit for the first time, Quiet Oasis (trained by Ben Cecil) won the G3 Wilshire Handicap at Hollywood Park today.

Quiet Oasis had been out of the money in her two previous attempts at the Wilshire distance but today she was able to track the pace for most of the trip and the wear down the leader. She finished a length in front of the 6-5 favourite, Nereid, who had previously been unbeaten at Hollywood Park on the turf.
Invest wins G1 Australasian Oaks

The Clarry Conners-trained Invest today won the G1 Australasian Oaks, wearing the Triabit.

Starting at 7/1, Invest settled nicely and ran down the leaders in the same way that so many Triabit-wearing horses seem to be able to do.
Turnofthecat wins at Keeneland

Turnofthecat won convincingly today at Keeneland, in his first outing in the Triabit, for trainer D. Wayne Lukas.

Turnofthecat won by a length, after having to navigate through traffic on the home stretch.

Despite having been beaten by 19 lengths at his previous start, and by more than 30 lengths combined at his previous three starts, Turnofthecat settled well and won convincingly on his first outing in the Triabit.

Dragon Pulse wins G3 Prix de Fontainebleau

Dragon Pulse today won the G3 Prix de Fontainebleau, defeating the previously unbeaten multiple G1 juvenile champion, Dabirsim.

Having his first start in the Triabit for Melboune Cup-winning trainer Mikel Delzangles, Dragon Pulse (starting at 14/1) was able to come from last place in the straight to overpower Dabirsim right on the post.
Ethiopa wins the G1 AJC Derby

The Pat Carey-trained Ethiopia, wearing the Triabit, took out the AJC Derby at Royal Randwick today, with a brilliant last-to-first run to grab the G1 feature race.
